PETER LINDBERGH. A DIFFERENT VISION ON FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY. A major exhibition initiated and produced by Kunsthal Rotterdam. 10 September 2016 till 12 February 2017
For forty years Peter Lindbergh has been regarded as one of the most influential fashion photographers. His pure black-and-white photographs have determined the course of fashion photography since the 1980s. Lindbergh launched the careers of a new generation of models such as Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell and Linda Evangelista, heralding the era of the ‘Supermodels’. The more than 220 photographs in this first international travelling exhibition of this legendary photographer offer a spectacular survey of his oeuvre from 1978 to the present.
The travelling exhibition Peter Lindbergh. A Different Vision on Fashion Photography has been initiated and produced by the Kunsthal Rotterdam in close collaboration with curator Thierry-Maxime Loriot and Peter Lindbergh. This exhibition is made possible with the support of Swarovski.
